Vintage curly Murano glass bowl
It's hard to tell whether Murano glass objects of this kind were conceived as ashtrays or bowls. The short answer is, they can serve as both, and of course you can do whatever you want with your own Muranos. But, it's important to note that we call this a bowl because it clear that no one ever put ashes in it, as its shiny finish proves.
With a mesmerising colour ranging from ochre to deep green, typical of pieces crafted with a small percentage of uranium added to the glass, these objects are amongst the most sough-after vintage Murano paraphernalia, better so if in such untamed conditions.
The present bowl is rather large, at 22x16 cm and with a maximum height of 9cm. It is preserved in perfect conditions, and will serve as a perfect valet tray, but also as just a decorative piece.
